StreamArmor 1.1 is out now with couple of bug fixes and few other changes related to minor enhancements. StreamArmor is the sophisticated tool for discovering hidden alternate data streams (ADS) as well as clean them completely from the system. It’s advanced auto analysis coupled with online threat verification mechanism makes it the best tool available in the market for eradicating the evil streams.

Here are the exact changes that has gone into StreamArmor 1.1

  • Fixed autoanalysis related issue with Favicon streams on non-English systems. Thanks to Leo Graper.
  • Now by default it will show all ‘Known/Good Streams’ also. You can change this through settings by selecting ‘Ignore Known Streams’
  • VirusTotal verification display changes, now it shows filename of the selected stream.
  • Few usability related changes in the final report.

What’s Next?

We currently have a plan to release major version of StreamArmor which includes some of these things

  • Support for more file types (font, tar, vbscript, sys …)
  • Efficient Scanning without bloating the system during operation
  • Resizable dialog feature to maximize on Wide screens
