Video on SpyDllRemover Detecting HxDef Rootkit

Few days ago, we have released the major version 4.0 of SpyDllRemover which featured significant enhancements over the previous versions. In order to show case all the features properly we have decided to create a series of video demonstrations which will help user to understand & use the SpyDllRemover to its full potential.

.

.

Here is the first video which shows how SpyDllRemover can help in detecting & removing user-land Rootkit called HxDef.exe

.

In the above video,   we start the HxDef Rootkit on our test system initially.  Next we launch the  ‘Process Explorer’ tool  and see that HxDef  Rootkit process is completely invisible.  Then we fire up our SpyDllRemover and start the scanning operation.  SpyDllRemover correctly detects the hidden Rootkit process Hxdef.exe and shows it in Red color marking it as dangerous threat.  Once successfully detected, we further verify it using VirusTotal service to make sure it is indeed a threat.  After verification we go and safely terminate the HxDef.exe process. This is a sample illustration showing how SpyDllRemover can help in eliminating such user-land Rootkits flawlessly.

We will soon add more videos to demonstrate different features of SpyDllRemover.

In the mean time, you can check all the videos related to different tools released on SecurityXploded.com
